Marta Cainzos Garcia works in Unit E4-Pesticides and Biocides in the European Commission´s Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). She joined the European Commission in 2019.
Marta Cainzos Garcia has graduated in veterinary medicine at the University Complutense (Madrid). Before joining the Commission, she worked for eleven years as civil servant at the Spanish Ministry of Food, Fisheries and Agriculture, and as Seconded National Expert in the European Commission, in the fields of animal health, import controls of products of animal origin and live animals and in agricultural markets.
