She has a PhD in chemistry and started her professional career in the pharmaceutical industry, where she dedicated 13 years as a Quality Assurance Expert. Since 2012, she has been working at the Federal Office of Public Health in Switzerland, focusing on the regulatory risk management of chemicals. Her team is responsible for the development and revision of Swiss chemical legislation, which closely aligns with EU regulations. Her primary responsibility is the adaptation and interpretation of Swiss biocide regulation, ensuring it is technically equivalent to EU biocide regulation to maintain the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) that exists between Switzerland and the EU in this area. Additionally, she represents Switzerland at the Competent Authority meetings in Brussels, contributing the expertise to international discussions and collaborations.
